Kristin Fisher has joined CNN on July 20, 2021. She is CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. In that role she will cover all aspects of space, from NASA as well as the new Space Force, to commercial companies in space and the rise of space tourism. Kristin, the daughter of NASA astronauts, and also an avid space fan has spent her entire childhood within the space industry. She spent five years as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy in the Biden and Trump administrations. While covering the two presidential impeachment cases and the presidential campaign for 2020, and both administrations attempts to curb the coronavirus epidemic, Kristin covered a lot of other topics. Kristin travelled extensively, including both the vice president and president. The reporter even took a secret trip to Afghanistan alongside Donald Trump. Kristin was a local television reporter for Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., which she won an Emmy Award for her work as a "one-man-band" reporter prior to being hired by CBS in 2015. Kristin's camera skills has led her to create Field Mouse Films which specialized making documentary-style videos for clients of corporate nature, including Uber Hotels and Resorts as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism at Boston University. Kristin lives with husband, daughter, and their three-year-old son in Washington, D.C.
